Jim had been living in California and Florida, while Amy and I had lived in Maryland and New Orleans. Amy would visit him for long periods during the summer, and it was always traumatic for her to go back and forth. She loved both her parents so much, and they were so far apart. So in 1994, when Jim invited us use his house in the Brooksville, Florida area, we happily accepted. It was great for Amy to finally have both parents close by - Jim was living in Lady Lake at the time. Later he was back at his house near Brooksville, and after that at Grandma Lee's in Homosassa, though by then Amy had moved out on her own, but was still close enough, either in Tampa or Spring Hill, and they could visit each other easily. Later, Amy moved to New York and then New Hampshire, they kept in touch, and had occasional visits whenever Amy came to Florida.
